Here are a combination of a few worth events being.... from celebrations with Jeff's workmates to Jeff's Birthday to Polo in the park :)
Team Successes
The first being a work event Jeff attended with his colleagues from work. We both have fun events with our teams at work, but Jeff's team is the only that is really good at documenting their fun with pictures, so I feel they are worth sharing! haha This night started out with a nice dinner to celebrate of their team's successes.
After dinner, it was decided they would go out as a good to a place called Maggie's. Based on what I can tell, it appears to be a fun 80's and 90's bar. This is a fun photo because they were playing with sparklers all evening!
And these photos are the real reason for the posting... Jeff and Laura (a good friend of ours that works with Jeff) met the real life Mario. These pictures are priceless!
Needless to say I think they celebrated the success with another successful night out on the town :)
Jeff's Birthday
The following weekend was Jeff's Birthday. I was trying my hardest to make the day a surprise... but Jeffrey does not do well with surprises and was asking about the plans everyday haha. So I eventually broke down and told him I got us tickets for the Book of Mormon and booking for dinner at his favorite steak restaurant.
Here are a few pictures from the theatre....
We absolutely loved the show and highly recommend it for anyone that has the opportunity to go see it. It was quite curd at some points, but overall it has a good story.
We had a little bit of time after the show, so we wondered down to Trafalgar Square. It turned out to be beautiful day!
Dinner was fabulous at The Hippodrome.. Jeff went for his fav, Steak and Lobster. We had a 50% off coupon, so we splurged on dessert too!
Last but not least... Jeff's wish for a new watch came true. He had been wanting one since Christmas and I finally found one that met the criteria. Hope you enjoy the watch babe!
Polo in the Park
The following day we meet a few friends for polo in the park. The beautiful weather continued and we had a great time. The park the event is going to be a few blocks down from our new flat. We can't wait to move in!
Jeff and Ben both enjoyed the very fruity drinks out of the pineapple :)
We definitely got our Pretty Woman moments and filled in the divots on the field!
We were able to snag some good spots on the fence and saw some good action on the field.
We learned a little more about polo while at the matches. Each match is composed of 4 chukkas, also know as a quarter in other games. Most polo players have at least 2 ponies to ride in each match.
